Although traditionally thought to be a problem of adolescents, an increasing number of adults are affected by acne as well. Acne can be very embarrassing and uncomfortable, and while the condition itself often improves with time, permanent scarring often follows. We can customize a practical regimen to help you achieve control over your acne. We offer many options for treating both adult and adolescent acne and are happy to discuss the roles of hormones, diet, and stress on acne.

Skin Cancer

skin cancerStatistics state that one in five Americans develop skin cancer in their lifetime with the most common types being basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and malignant melanoma. Skin cancer accounts for almost 80% of cancers in the United States, and early detection permits the best treatment. Most skin cancers can be treated by surgical destruction or removal in an outpatient setting. Dr. Wiltz is comfortable and skilled in skin cancer surgery as is happy to provide this service to her patients. In addition, Dr. Wiltz provides very thorough skin cancer screening services and encourages patients to wear sunscreen every day and to avoid tanning beds or deliberately tanning for long periods of time. If a special procedure such as Mohs surgery or radiation is appropriate, we will refer you to a trusted physician for further care.
